MEET THE PERSON BEHIND CAT TURNER, CATHERINE MCMANUS
Our lovely member Catherine McManus is half French, half British and has spent large parts of her life as an expatriate in Barcelona and Singapore – although London is the city she keeps coming back to and has made her home. Following a degree at Oxford University she has enjoyed working across a number of different industries, including fashion, largely in marketing and business development roles. Her main passion though has been travel and she feels lucky to have travelled extensively. One of her favourite trips was when she circumnavigated the globe…highlights include skydiving over Lake Taupo in New Zealand, swimming with wild dolphins and gatecrashing Vin Diesel’s private party in Las Vegas!
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Cat Turner collection evokes the best of effortless summer chic, fused with timeless design - flattering silhouettes and key pieces that are flexible enough to be worn across multiple locations and occasions.
Cat Turner avoids holiday clothing clichés in favour of simple elegance and synthetic fabrics in favour of summer-friendly fabrics such as cotton and Tencel. And the highly wearable, comfortable styles can easily be worn back at home once the holiday is over.
Last but by no means least, in contrast to today’s throwaway, fast fashion clothing culture, a mindful approach is very much at the heart of the Cat Turner brand. The elegant and versatile collection is ethically made in London, benefiting from high quality British craftsmanship and European fabrics for optimal longevity, whilst the packaging used is recyclable.
