Doctor Frankenstein aimed to create new life from inanimate parts. But how did life first arise on Earth? 

Join Phil Ball, Nick Lane and a panel of experts for their talk at The Royal Institution on the origins of life.

For the evening they will be discussing the latest ideas, from warm ponds to space rocks and hydrothermal vents, on how life first began. You'll have the chance to ask questions, and are guaranteed an insightful and inspiring evening. 

What to expect?

The doors will open at approximately 6.30pm, with a prompt start at 7.00pm. There will be time for questions after the talk. Latecomers will be admitted to the gallery.
